Our Services
Our Georgia center serves both adults and adolescents who are suffering with common mental disorders, such as anxiety, bipolar disorder and ADHD in the Atlanta area and surrounding communities. The program highly encourages family involvement while providing active, intensive therapeutic services in a coordinated and structured environment.
Diamonds In the Rough came about due to the owner Khrystal Jones going through a very difficult time in her early adulthood while she was in college. The professor gave an assignment to make up a business and name it. Khrystal named her fictitious business, Diamonds In the Rough because that’s how she saw herself. She knew it was something really different about herself however it was really hard to see, just like a pure uncut diamond. Khrystal’ father, Courtney Russell, who is the founder, always had individuals requiring supports around his children. So that mindset truly rubbed off. Courtney Russell taught his children the ins and outs of real supports and what it takes to get an individual supported to another level while simultaneously, allowing them to be in the least restrictive environment. Diamonds In the Rough is very different than any other facility. It’s all about the individual and what they desire for their own lives. Diamonds In the Rough has a charge to ensure that the individual is living his best life in the least restrictive environment possible. Diamonds In the Rough wants to support individuals in a way that gives them a new hope to look forward to every single day. Whether you’re living in our group home setting or simply attending the Day Center, one thing for sure it’s going to be a good time.
Diamonds In the Rough supports with persons with schizophrenia, Prader Willi Syndrome (PSW) , down syndrome, Alzheimer’s, dementia, autism, pica, behavioral disorders, seizure disorders, and the host of other disabilities.
